What We Collect

Through the enquiry form, we collect: name, email address, phone number and preferred contact method; boat details (boat name, type and length); equipment details (type, make, model, serial number, year, engine hours, part required and drive type); where the boat is kept and its postcode; the message sent; the consent given; and the page the enquiry came from.

We also rely on technical data processed by Cloudflare for spam protection (Turnstile) and for cookieless analytics, such as IP address, browser and device type, and country. This technical data is not seen by us on a per-visitor basis.

Why And On What Legal Basis

We use an enquiry to respond to it, diagnose the fault or work required, provide a quote and carry out any work agreed. This processing relies on UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b), steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.

We also process enquiry data for spam prevention, security and to keep a record of enquiries, relying on UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f), legitimate interests.

We do not send marketing emails to enquirers without a separate, explicit opt-in.

Who We Share Data With

We use the following processors:

Transfers Outside The UK

Cloudflare, Airtable and Resend are United States companies, so enquiry data is transferred to and stored in the United States.

For details of the safeguards used, email [email protected].

How Long We Keep It

Enquiry records are deleted 24 months after receipt. Records relating to work actually carried out are kept for as long as tax and legal obligations require.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. Analytics are cookieless, and the Turnstile widget runs only on the enquiry page.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We respond within one month.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how your data has been handled, contact us first using the details above. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by telephone on 0303 123 1113.
